quick summary:

I'm an over-worked, underpaid computer geek, supposedly reformed club rat and ex-entertainment industry grunt who tries to cram living a life in along with making a living.

My biggest problem with LJ is that I read and write constantly as part of my job. I probably parse more words in a day than most people do in a week, unless they work as an editor. I work in the IT industry, but a good part of what I get paid to do is communicate about technical things, as well as engineer and fix them and go through a ton email and actually pay attention to it.

Thus, at the end of a long day, I'd rather work on one of my writing projects that do not go on LJ, or not write at all. So my LJ is not as cool or diary-like as some. But it's mine, and usually has meaning to those who know me.

Most of my posts these days are locked, simply because there are too many people out there I don't want to deal with.
